About this work
Panic among the German soldiers upon the arrival of several ships from the Prince of Orange, 2 August 1577. Soldiers with their loot on the street in front of the Oosters Huis. Representation in a round medallion with an ornamental allegorical frame, with the standing female personifications of Punishment (Punitio) and Fear (Timor) at the top. At the bottom, a cartouche with two verses of six lines each in French and Dutch.
