Siege of Hulst by the Spanish army under Archduke Albert of Austria, first phase 8–11 July 1596. Plan of Hulst with surrounding forts, polders, and inundated land. At the bottom the Spanish camp from which the canal was crossed to attack forts in the hands of the States' army. Top right a compass rose and a divider for the scale. All inscriptions in the print in Dutch.
