Siege of the city of Ostend in States hands, by the Spanish army under Archduke Albert and later under Spinola, 1601–1604. The central image shows the state of the siege in February 1604. Central representation in two parts: at the top a map of Ostend and surroundings with the positions of the besieging troops; at the bottom the horse-drawn covered siege ramp invented by Targone.
