Satirical print on Palatine Count Wolfgang William and Archduke Leopold V and their attempts to conquer Jülich and gain support from the Jesuits and the Pope in the Jülich-Cleves dispute, 1610. Allegorical composition built from many small scenes around Wolfgang William and Leopold. Centrally, a man with a Roman Catholic cleric at a water well. To the right, a wall between which stand: the English King James I, Prince Maurice, and the French King Henry IV. Bottom right, the Dutch Lion in the Dutch Garden. Front left, the Gunpowder Plot (1605). In the back, the geuzen (beggars) going to church. With inscriptions in Latin and some in Dutch. Attached to the bottom of the print a text sheet with three columns of text in German with an explanation of the numbers X-CC in the composition.
