About this work

Map of the siege and capture of Arras (Atrecht) by the French from Spain, 13 July - 10 August 1640. Map with the city in the middle, surrounded by the positions of the besieging troops. At the bottom the events are depicted as a battle between cats (Spain) and rats under the leadership of a rooster (France). Attached under the print is a text printed in 2 columns in Dutch and 2 columns in French with the explanation of the numbers 1-9 and the letters A-H.
