Burnt house on the Leidsegracht, at the corner with the Herengracht, in Amsterdam. After the fire on 12 January 1684 during a severe frost. Extinguished with hose fire pumps. With onlookers on the ice of the frozen canal. With two-line caption in Dutch and French (in mirror image). Counterprint of plate 17 from the Fire Pump Book by Jan van der Heyden.
