About this work
The departure of the French from Utrecht on 23 November 1673. In the foreground all Catholic attributes removed from the Dom are burned. On the left women with brooms and mops are cleaning the church again. In the background triumphal arches are being erected for the Prince of Orange. Top right two three-line verses in Dutch. Third print in a series of five prints on the events that took place in Utrecht over the period 1672-74.
