About this work

Satirical print on the defeat of the English by the Dutch in the Battle of Kijkduin on 21 August 1673. The English tightrope walker (Konterman) receives a kick from the Dutch Sailor. On the left the Dutch lion tears apart English dogs. Below the print a poem in two columns.
