About this work

Allegory with the intervention of Christ in the struggle between the Cocceians and Voetians in Zeeland in 1676. Some of the main characters are indicated by name: The stayers have turned into owls. At the top a great angel of light with a Bible. The floor is strewn with all kinds of pamphlets. The conflict is also indicated as the further reformation in Zeeland. In September 1676 Prince William III personally took measures to resolve the disputes.
