About this work
42 French men who were enslaved in Tunis were ransomed there by the Order of the Trinitarians. Such captives were known as 'Christian slaves'. In honor of their ransom, they are led in a procession through the city of Paris. Legend 1-9 in the caption. Numbered in the upper right, here cut off: fol: 59.
