About this work

Equestrian portrait of William III. Bellona or Britannia holds the English crown above his head. Fame blows a trumpet in the clouds. To the right, a military tent with several figures and his coat of arms with a crown, decorated with the Garter and the motto of the Order of the Garter. In the background, the bombardment of a city, a war scene from the conflict in Ireland. Within a frame are his name and titles.
