About this work

Jupiter appears in the sky together with Archduke Charles of Austria and Philip V before a public in Madrid, 10 May 1706. The god asks the present people which prince they want as king. On the sheet below the plate a description of the events in Dutch and French. Part of a series of 19 satirical prints on the French and their allies from the year 1706.
