About this work

Engraved title page with an allegorical representation of the victories of the French army in Europe, with France seated on a throne at the center. Part of the second volume (1693) of the print work comprising the eight volumes of *Les forces de l'Europe*, published between 1693–1697. The work consists of 175 plates with plans (by Sébastien Le Prestre, Seigneur de Vauban) of famous fortified cities and strongholds during the Nine Years' War. Title in French.
