About this work
Title print of the Actiekraam or the Voorhof of Quinquenpoix. In the central scene, a man kneels with a love declaration before a woman who rejects him (according to the text: John Law and Schoonschijn), in the frame cupids and quivers. With two lines in the caption. This plate is printed in the middle of a larger plate with a wreath built up from various objects related to the wind trade. At the bottom are Mercury and Neptune. In the plate an inscription with two verses. Print 49 in the series Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Stock Trade of 1720.
