As protector of the State Building of the Dutch Commonwealth, the hereditary stadtholdership, in the person of the stadtholder, defends the country against the attacks of Envy, Deceit, Violence, and Ambition. Within the temple reside Liberty and Religion. In the inscription, a seven-line verse. The print is accompanied by a publisher's notice with an explanation of the plate.
