Allegorical column for Prince Frederick of Hesse-Kassel, governor of Maastricht during the bombardment by the French army, 24 February 1793. Above the column a medallion with a portrait in the light of the All-Seeing Eye. On either side of the column four depictions of events during and after the French attack on the city.
