About this work
Festive procession in the evening of the Orangist workers of the City Boatbuilders' Yard, in the months of October, November, and December 1787. Long procession winds across the Kattenburgerplein, with the State Naval Magazine on the right and the Kattenburger Bridge in the background. The workers carry axes and other tools, boards with the name of Prince Willem V, flags, insignia and symbols, and burning tar pots and lanterns with candles.
