About this work

Departure of Princess Wilhelmina of Prussia with her daughter-in-law and grandson from Scheveningen to England, 18 January 1795. Several carriages with the princess and her retinue on the beach of Scheveningen. Luggage and passengers are carried through the water to a waiting skiff. Fishermen and a crowd of onlookers on the left and right. See pendant with the departure of Prince William V from The Hague.
