The treasure hunters of Muiden with spades, holy water sprinkler, cross and lantern in a sort of procession on their way to the place of the alleged treasure. Illustration of the story of the deception of the superstitious Catholic lieutenant-colonel Dirk Cornelis van der Meulen by a German swindler, in Muiden on the night of 12 to 13 August 1800.
