About this work

Allegorical monument for the death of Princess Dowager Wilhelmina of Prussia, 9 June 1820. In front of the monument stand the Dutch Maiden, Religion, Mildness, and an angel with laurel wreaths, a spear, and a radiant heart, possibly representing Love. Three putti in the clouds. An eight-line verse in the caption (signed with an S.).
