About this work
Carnival print of the Amsterdam night watch (ratelwacht), 1 September 1845. Several men walk at night with rattles through a street in front of the Beurs van Zocher. Oval composition with Liberty on the left and a river god on the right. With a poem in two columns. On behalf of the night watch in quarter No. 21 of the 2nd section of the Police: G.J. Uleman, L. Scholten, J. Lamoree and G.W. Lohuijs.
