About this work

Carnival print of the Amsterdam night watch (ratelwacht), 1 September 1845. Several men walk at night with rattles through a street in front of the Beurs van Zocher. Oval composition with Liberty on the left and a river god on the right. With a poem in two columns. On behalf of the night watch in quarter No. 26 of the 6th section of the Police: W. de Beer, C. de Groot, J. Hartman and A.F. Hendriks.
