About this work
Caricature of King Willem I and Prince Frederik both sitting with the barber of Liège, 1830. The hair of the king and the prince is combed by two barbers, both Belgian rebels, into a long tail, a 'queue'. Above the door of the barber's shop hangs a sign with an image of Jambe de Bois and the name of the shop 'Au barbie Liégeois'. With a three-line caption.
