About this work

The figure sits huddled with her head resting on her arms. Possibly Hypnos, the personification of sleep. Above the figure a putto in a medallion. Design for a stained-glass window for the Chamber of Commerce in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. Sheet 24 recto from a sketchbook with 45 sheets.
