About this work

The Sun carries a crown and staff with sun rays. Above the medallion a smaller medallion with a representation of the zodiac sign Leo, below a half-medallion with a representation of a horse. Design for a stained-glass window for the Chamber of Commerce in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. Sheet 6 recto from a sketchbook with 45 sheets.
