About this work

Mars carries a sword and helmet. Above the medallion two smaller medaillons with representations of the zodiac signs Aries and Scorpio. Design for a stained-glass window for the Chamber of Commerce in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. Sheet 5 recto from a sketchbook with 45 sheets.
