A soldier, full-length, facing right, carrying a spear (lance) horizontally on his right shoulder. His right hand around the spear. Design for plate 26 in the instructions for handling the spear in the Wapenhandelinghe by J. de Gheyn (1607). Military affairs around 1600. Design for a print.
