About this work

Gown of blue silk printed with a multicolored all-over pattern of flowers and small animals. Tight-fitting bodice with slit and pointed collar. Puffed sleeves with bow at the cuff. Bell-shaped skirt with bows at the waist. Top left a swatch of fabric. Bottom right the name Frivole. Top right stamp of fashion house Jeanne Lanvin.
