Civet cat. With a detail study of the head. Numbered 18 in the upper right. Two-line inscription in Latin at the top. Part of the first album of drawings of quadrupeds. First of twelve albums of drawings of animals, birds, and plants known around 1600, made on commission of Emperor Rudolf II. With commentary in Dutch, Latin, and French.
