About this work

On the central panel John the Baptist admonishes the Pharisees, accompanied by two disciples and Christ. To the left in the background John baptizes in the Jordan. Part of a triptych with scenes from the life of John the Baptist. The altarpiece was made for a Benedictine monastery in Groot-Bijgaarden, near Brussels. With integrated frame.
