Triptych with scenes from the life of John the Baptist. On the central panel John the Baptist admonishes the Pharisees, accompanied by two disciples and Christ. To the left in the background John baptizes in the Jordan. On the left wing the preaching of John the Baptist, in the foreground two soldiers. On the right wing the baptism of Christ in the Jordan, in the background the banquet of Herod and the beheading of John the Baptist. On the outside of the left wing: John the Baptist with the Lamb of God. On the right wing: the kneeling founder Berbel or Barbara van der Noot with Saint Barbara. The altarpiece was made for a Benedictine monastery in Groot-Bijgaarden, near Brussels. With integrated frame.
