About this work
Neoclassical gilded frame with pâte ornaments from different style periods: Renaissance, Empire and Biedermeier. The opening of the inner frame is oval. The mitre joints are connected at the back with tapering dovetail wedges. The inner frame is fixed with nails in the rebate of the outer profile.
