About this work
Raised baluster-shape pitcher with overall flat chased and repousse grapevine decoration on a cast footring with four grape cluster feet. Front of body is engraved "MAW" in flecked script. Hollow double C-curve handle has a leafy sprig with cabochon on top and grapevine decoration on face. Underside of rounded bottom struck "S. WILMOT" in raised roman letters in a rectangle. No centerpunch.
