About this work
Tea caddy of porcelain with an egg-shaped body on foot, painted on the glaze in blue, black and gold. On the wall a swastika pattern with therein reserved two cartouches with flower branch and a round cartouche with flowering plants (e.g. peony, aster), on the shoulder trellis work alternated with a lotus scroll in a cartouche; around the foot modelled scrollwork. The lid with the same decoration. Encre de Chine.
