About this work
Egg-shaped porcelain tea caddy on a foot, painted on the glaze in blue, black and gold. On the body, a swastika pattern with two cut-out cartouches containing a flower branch and a round cartouche with flowering plants (e.g., peony, aster), on the shoulder lacework alternating with a lotus vine in a cartouche; around the foot, modeled scrollwork. Encre de Chine.
