About this work
Cylindrical vase of porcelain with a wide, spreading neck, painted in underglaze blue. The body is divided into four broad bands with from bottom to top: a band with incised lotus scrolls, one with flower scrolls, one with two chilongs (hornless dragon) with a mushroom (lingzhi) between clouds and one with flower scrolls interrupted by an incised lotus scroll in a lobed cartouche. On the shoulder and above the foot a band with a zigzag pattern with flowers. The neck with standing, pointed leaf motifs. Blue-and-white.
