About this work

Egg-shaped stoneware pot with a wide, short neck, painted in underglaze blue. On the body a broad band with peony vines and a broad band with lotus leaf-shaped compartments; between them a narrow band with scrollwork. On the shoulder a narrow band with four cloud motifs, alternating with four small, semi-circular, applied ears. Above this a band with leaf motifs.
