About this work
Porcelain dish with deep walls and a flat rim, painted in underglaze blue and on the biscuit in green, yellow, aubergine, and black. On the flat surface, an incised medallion with two pearls chased by dragons amidst flames and clouds; on the wall, eight flower branches (including lotus, peony, prunus, chrysanthemum); the rim with dragons; the back of the rim with five flying cranes amidst clouds; the back of the wall with dragons. Marked on the underside with the six-character mark of Emperor Kangxi in a double circle. Émail sur biscuit.
