About this work
Bottle-shaped vase of porcelain, with a globular body and long, narrow neck, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, and black. The body of the bottle is covered with a black-spotted green ground on which flowering plants and butterflies; in this, variously shaped cartouches with flower branches such as aster and peony are cut out; on the shoulder, a band with ruyi motifs, above which a band with flower rosettes in a lobed cartouche alternating with napkin work with flowers; the neck with horizontal bands in different colors; on the rim, a band with a geometric pattern. Famille verte.
