About this work
Porcelain plate with a wide rim, decorated in underglaze blue. On the flat surface, two flying birds and a butterfly; two more birds on a rock surrounded by flowering plants. The wall and rim are divided into alternating wide and narrow panels with flowering branches and symbols of good fortune. The outer wall features three flowering branches. Marked on the underside with a seal mark. Decoration in imitation of Chinese Kraak porcelain. Three firing pins on the underside. Blue and white.
