About this work
Porcelain plate, painted in underglaze blue. On the flat center a flowering plant (camellia) by a rock. Surrounding it are flying birds and insects. The wall and rim are divided into six compartments, each containing a bird on a rock by a flowering plant, a flying bird, and insects. The outer wall features four flowering branches. Four feet on the underside. Blue and white.
