About this work

In the foreground, King Cambyses has the young man Otanus, son and successor of the judge Sisamnes, seated on the judge's chair. The chair is upholstered with the flayed skin of his father. In the background, what preceded it is visible: Cambyses has the corrupt judge Sisamnes flayed. On the right foreground, three archers. Below the image, two four-line verses in Latin. The print is part of an album.
