About this work

The Israelites, after the safe crossing of the Red Sea, raise a song of thanksgiving. Moses stands on the left. The prophetess Miriam, Aaron's sister, and the other women sing and play musical instruments. In the background, Pharaoh with his retinue is seen being swallowed by the receding water. The print has a Latin inscription. Bottom right a reference to Exodus 15. The print is part of an album.
