About this work

Walking woman with a 'Chapeau-Bonnette' on her head: hat with wide downward-sloping brims. Around the high, puffed crown a ribbon that forms a bow at the back. She wears a robe à l'Anglaise with a wide fichu and holds a folded fan in her left hand. Hairstyle with chignon. (the text states that it does not matter which japon one wears for the morning walk, but that the Chapeau-Bonnette is a must)
