A soldier, full-length, facing right, thrusting the point of his spear (lance) forward with his right hand and holding the shaft with his left hand (no. 22), ca. 1600. Plate 22 in the instructions for handling the spear: Corte onderwysinghe op de figuerliicke afbeeldinghe, belanghende t'recht ghebruyck, van al t'ghene een Soldaet int handelen vande Spies noodich is.
