About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, carrying a pike horizontally on his right shoulder. His right hand around the pike (no. 26), ca. 1600. Originally misnumbered 24, this number corrected here to 26. Plate 26 in the instructions for handling the pike: Corte onderwysinghe op de figuerliicke afbeeldinghe belanghende trechte gebruck, van alle t'ghene een Soldaet int handelen vande Spies noodich is.
