About this work

Heavy assault on the defensive works of Ostend by the Spanish troops under Albert, 7 January 1602. Bottom left an insert with a picture of a female Spanish soldier who was involved in the fighting, top right a cartouche with an inscription in Latin. Above the print the title with explanation of the numbers, at the bottom a description of the events, in German. Part of the illustrations for a journal of the siege of Ostend 1601-1604.
