About this work
The female personification of Imagination paints a picture of the Mississippi; around her, children blowing bubbles or reading from the share book of the Mississippi Company, sitting on an empty money chest. With four small scenes of other failed enterprises. Below the representation, a caption with a three-column verse printed from a separate plate. Print in the bound first edition (304 B 10) of Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trading of 1720.
