About this work
True image of Mr. Quinquempoix. Portrait medallion of John Law as Mr. Quinquempoix above a brewing kettle in which coins are transformed into shares. Witch's cauldron with devils, owls, etc. Above the portrait, Folly with a crown of peacock feathers and holly leaves. Above this, a banner reading: "Of Stront or King." This plate is printed within a larger plate with title and verses in Dutch on both sides. Print in the bound fourth edition (304 B 12) of *Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid* with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trade of 1720.
