About this work

A woman from North Holland, seated reading at a table in her salon. She is wearing clothing as worn in the cities of Alkmaar, Purmerend, and Zaandam. Part of a bound edition of the series of twenty-four plates of Dutch costumes in the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the beginning of the nineteenth century by Maaskamp, 1829.
